I painted this dreamy 12’ x 16’ mural in Google’s VR offices in San Francisco.
With this mural, I was interested in exploring the dual meaning of the phrase “We’re going places”. I wanted to colors to evoke a sense of hopefulness while using the dynamic shapes to convey momentum. This piece is my visual interpretation of what the future of virtual reality looks like: a little abstract but bright and moving forward nonetheless.

Special thanks to my painting assistants Chie Tamada and Jenna Carando

Mural painted for First Coat festival in Toowoomba, Australia.
Dimensions: 45’ x 15’
The finished piece is titled “Don't Forget to Stop and Share the Roses”. A modern take on a classic phrase, this mural playfully explores the blurred lines between our physical lives and digital lives. Hidden inside the handmade floral illustrations are subtle social media icons for the viewer to discover. Social media is a seemingly necessary evil - both praised for its ability to keep us connected with each other and criticized for distracting us from real life. In a world where we interact online as much as we do in person, this mural poses the question: What does it mean to stop and smell the roses today?
Special thanks to Lauren Ronquillo and Tom Wahlin for helping me paint.
Inspired by my love of food and puns, Flour Crowns is an edible art project I started in March 2017. With spring right around the corner, I noticed my social media feeds starting to fill up with festival fashion and flowers. The idea came to me first as a simple play on the word "flower crown", and my imagination took it from there.

My grandma is 81 years old and has lived in the same community in Southern California for the last 55 years. Every Friday at 11:30am sharp for the past 5 years, my grandma and 20 of her other grandma friends meet at their local Wendy's to have lunch. They charmingly refer to themselves as the WenDivas, and I designed a mini-brand identity for them to highlight the importance of women spending time together and supporting each other.
Adobe loved this project so much that they interviewed me for their blog! Click here to read the full post.

Partnering with K-Y, I had the pleasure of spreading the good word that you don’t need a reason, like Valentine’s Day, to enjoy a hot date or romantic evening with your partner. The ‘You Don’t Need a Reason’ campaign encourages couples to take the pressure off of unrealistic holiday expectations because you can (and should) celebrate your love any day of the year!
I created a series of quirky small-batch love notes for K-Y, crafted witty campaign social content, and spent the day in NYC with Dr. Laura Berman (renowned sex and relationship educator and therapist) giving mini-lettering workshops & intimacy tips to top-tier women’s health, sex & relationship, and lifestyle magazine editors.
Creative confidence is a topic that I get asked about all the time. In order to create a career that you love, you must first start with loving yourself.
To remind us all to celebrate ourselves more often, I’ve partnered with Adobe Creative Cloud to bring you a series of free, printable self-love cards + phone wallpapers* I lettered and designed using Adobe Illustrator. I also created a tutorial to show you how to quickly vectorize your hand lettering with Adobe Capture + Adobe Illustrator.
I donated this 40ft x 10ft mural to my elementary school, Silver Spur Elementary in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The colorful artwork depicts the school's motto, "Make it a great day or not. The choice is yours!"

For all of 2016 and half of 2017, I traveled through South America, Europe, and Asia – all without taking a typical travel picture. No photos of sunsets by the beach. No overhead shots of exotic meals. No selfies.
What?! Why?! I draw things for a living, so what better way to capture my travels than by sketching, not snapping, my way around the world? I’m also aware that I live in a world of selfie sticks and sharing anything and everything that I do. With the ability and desire to capture everything so quickly, I’ve been guilty of spending more time fussing over angles and filters than actually enjoying the moment. So, instead of experiencing the world through a screen, I wanted to spend the year documenting my adventures the old-fashioned way through lettering and drawings in my sketchbook.
You can follow along on the blog and on Instagram. Happy travels and doodles to all!
This is my grandma. She is a wonderful human being full of wonderful wisdom, and I thought she deserved a place on my website. She's always had this knack for coming up with witty one-liners, so I decided to letter one of her favorite pieces of life advice on a chalkboard in her front yard.

In January 2016, I sold all of my belongings, stuffed a few sundresses and a sketchbook into a backpack, and decided to travel for the entire year. I'm planning on visiting more than 20 countries and setting foot on every continent. Since I make a living drawing the alphabet, I thought it would be pretty rad if I could fund my 26,000 mile journey around the world with the same 26 letters I hold so close to my heart.
That's where you come in, fellow explorer and type lover. I've designed a special series of travel-inspired posters for your viewing (and purchasing) pleasure. Every dollar raised through this project will go directly towards my 'round the world journey, from plane tickets to late night street snacks. Can 26 little letters really take me 26,000 miles? I have no idea, but I'd like to find out just how far they'll get me.
