MURAL PAINTING FOR DESIGNERS SCHOLARSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Hom Sweet Hom, is the sole administrator of the Scholarship, and shall be responsible for all aspects of the Scholarship contest. Such administration will include without limitation administering and managing the Scholarship contest, drafting any rules and/or terms, selecting the winners, notifying the winners, and obtaining all applicable releases from the winners. 

1. Sponsorship and Eligibility

This challenge/contest is sponsored by Hom Sweet Hom, Inc. There is no purchase necessary to enter or win. This challenge/contest is open to those who are eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry; however, the challenge/contest is void where otherwise prohibited or restricted by law. 

2. Qualification Period

The contest submission period for the prize drawings of the challenge/contest begins at 6:00 PM ET on May 19th, 2022 and will end at 12:00 PM ET on June 2nd, 2022.

3. Entry Procedures

To enter the challenge/contest and be eligible to win the prize described below, contest entrants must:

  • Mockup a piece of original artwork as a mural

  • Post the mocked-up image on their personal Instagram account using the hashtag #MPFDSummer2022 and with a caption describing their dream mural project and/or why they want to attend the class.

4. Duties of Participants; Limitation of Liability

By entering, participants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Hom Sweet Hom which shall be final. All federal, state and local laws apply. Hom Sweet Hom and the employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, and representatives of Hom Sweet Hom affiliates, and advertising, promotion and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: (i) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries; (ii) electronic, hardware, or software program, network, internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties; (iii) errors in transmission; (iv) any condition caused by events beyond the control of Hom Sweet Hom that may cause the challenge/contest to be disrupted or corrupted; (v) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused by a prize or resulting from acceptance, possession, or use of a prize, or from participation in the challenge/contest; or (vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the challenge/contest.

5. Violation of Challenge/Contest Rules

Hom Sweet Hom reserves the right to disqualify any participant or winner who, in its sole and unfettered determination, tampers with the entry process, intentionally violates these rules or the Site Terms and Conditions, or acts in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Hom Sweet Hom reserves the right, in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest should (in its sole discretion) a virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the contest. In such case, Hom Sweet Hom may select the recipients from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Hom Sweet Hom. Hom Sweet Hom reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers or attempts to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Hom Sweet Hom or website or violates these Terms & Conditions.

6. Selection of the Winner; Chances of Winning

Only seven (7) people can win. The prize will be awarded based on Hom Sweet Hom’s review of each contestant’s submission and the decision of who has won the contest will be made in Hom Sweet Hom’s sole discretion. In selecting the contest winners, Hom Sweet Hom will consider the artistic merit of the submitted work along with the motivation of the contestant to participate in the class.

7. Description of Prizes

The winners of this challenge/contest will receive:

The total approximate retail value of this prize is $397. Participants are not guaranteed to win a prize. Actual/appraised value may differ at time of prize award. The specifics of the prize shall be solely determined by Hom Sweet Hom. 

8. Notification of the Winner; Substitution of Prizes

The winner will be notified by electronic mail or via Instagram direct message. Hom Sweet Hom will attempt to re-send said message three (3) times over a 2 day period. If any winner does not respond to last notification within 24 hours of its transmission of last message, or should any mail be returned as undeliverable after three (3) attempts, the prize will be forfeited and Hom Sweet Hom may select a substitute winner. The winner may not substitute or transfer the prize. Hom Sweet Hom reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event a prize is unavailable. All taxes on prize are winner’s responsibility. 

9. Permissions

Except where prohibited by law, entry constitutes permission to use the winner’s name and likenesses for online posting publicity without additional compensation. Additionally, entry constitutes permission to use all images and other content submitted as part of Hom Sweet Hom’s Instagram Story as well as Hom Sweet Hom’s newsletter, as well as other non-commercial uses chosen by Hom Sweet Hom, from time to time and in Hom Sweet Hom’s sole discretion. The winner may also be required to sign and return a release of liability, declaration of eligibility and, where lawful, a publicity consent agreement, as conditions of receiving a prize. Failure to comply with the aforementioned conditions shall be grounds for forfeiture of a prize.
