WELOME, PASSION TO PAID AFFILIATES!
Thank you for signing up to spread the word about this course! I tried to make this affiliate program as easy for you as possible. You can read the program's Terms and Conditions here. By participating in this program, you agree to these terms.
On this page, you'll find images and copy you can use to promote the class, as well as helpful information about the program.
You may begin promoting Passion to Paid starting at 7am EST on Friday May 10th and ending at 11:59pm EST on Friday, May 17th. Outside of this window, the course will not be enrolling new students.

Level 3: Retail $1249 - $312.25 commission (limited to 5 spots)
How to Get Started - Step One:
You've now been granted affiliate status on Teachable - yay! To access your affiliate dashboard, simply log into your Passion to Paid course as you normally would & then select "Admin" from the top bar. For a detailed walkthrough, please read this article here. It's actually pretty simple once you see how everything works.
Don't forget to enter your PayPal details under the "Payout Details" section. I need that info so I can pay you!
Step Two:
Once you've reviewed the walk-through article from above, you can generate your personalized affiliate link! See the image below for instructions on where to generate this in your Affiliate Link tab.
IMPORTANT! The URL to the course sales page you will need to generate a link for is:
https://homsweethom.teachable.com/p/passion-to-paid-summer-2019
TIP: To make your affiliate link look better on your Instagram profile, paste it into a URL shortener (like bit.ly).
If you get stuck or have any questions, feel free to email our lovely P2P admin Jess at jess@homsweethom.com
Step Three:
Once you've generated your unique affiliate link to the sales page, you can post it alongside images + text to start promoting.
Click the images below to download the official Passion to Paid graphics and sales copy to begin your promotions!
To make your life a little easier, I've provided you with: two formats of the Passion to Paid graphic (square for social media and rectangular for blog/email headers), ten decorative backgrounds for you to use if you'd prefer to create your own designs or lettering, and four drawings from my sketchbook (social media eye candy hehe) that you can use for your promotions.
Make sure to browse through the Passion Project Archive to find student projects to feature in your promotion, too!
In addition to talking about your own experience with passion projects, talking about other people’s projects and successes are a great way to sell the program (and promote your fellow creatives!).
Also, if you want to talk about any of my passion projects, feel free to use and edit images from my website:
A few guidelines to using these assets:
Please ***DO*** feel free to edit the sales copy to your liking. The most important thing is that it's genuine & sounds like YOU :)
Please ***DO*** use the variety of blank background frames as a canvas for your own graphics or lettering related to Passion to Paid promotions.
Please ***DO*** share other people’s projects with the proper credit (tags on social media and links on web).
Please ***DO NOT*** edit the Passion to Paid logo graphic (but feel free to draw your own).
Please ***DO NOT*** use any of these materials for anything other than Passion to Paid promotions.
***IMPORTANT UPDATES!***
I’ve condensed the 10 week program that you took into 5 weeks now. That means 5 fewer Live Q&A’s, but that’s because I’ve incorporated all of the questions asked in the last 3 rounds of the class into the curriculum. I decided to do this so that students can get the same amount of information in a shorter amount of time, since I know it’s a commitment to tune in for 10 weeks. In my own promotion of the class, I’ll be emphasizing that the class will provide the same value while saving you time and wrapping up before the hectic holiday season (December 2nd).
Exciting news: I’ve hired three of your classmates who launched super successful passion projects to be peer mentors in our Facebook group for this round of the class: Josh Higgins of Introflirted, Annie Wong of OvaryActions, and Nick Misani of Fauxsaics. They will be weighing in on questions posted in the Facebook group and providing valuable insights for the next 5 weeks. If you’re as excited about this as I am, please do mention this in your promotion of the class.
Best Practices
1. Don’t spam people with your affiliate link!
2. Follow good advertising practices and disclose your affiliate relationship.
A simple way to do this is to mention it at the end of each post. I'm a big fan of saying something along the lines of, "P.S. I’m a proud graduate and affiliate of this class. If you decide to purchase this program, I may receive a commission in the future, which will help me grow my creative business. Thanks for your support!"
3. Speak from your personal experience!
I’ve found that best way to promote the class is to talk honestly about your passion project, what it helped you accomplish (more confidence, breaking out of a creative rut, getting a freelance project, etc) and how the class helped you get there. Share your process, share the reasons you signed up for the class, share your favorite parts of the experience, and then tell people to check out the class if they’re interested in starting a project of their own.
Ideas for Posts to Promote the Class
Share images of your passion project and talk about how the class helped you bring it to life
Share images of your passion project and talk about the ways it benefitted you + your career
Letter or design the words “Passion to Paid” or “Passion Project” and talk about your experience in the class
Share your favorite quotes surrounding the topic of passion projects and building your creative career.
Share your classmates passion projects (with proper credit and tags) and talk about how they’ve inspired you! View the Passion Project Archive to see a collection of student projects to share.
Share images from any of my passion projects that have inspired you + talk about why they did!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When do promotions begin and end?
You are welcome to promote Passion to Paid starting at 7am EST on Friday, May 10th and ending at 11:59pm EST on Friday, May 17th. Please do not publicly promote the class before the 10th, as the class will not be open for enrollment yet. After the 17th, enrollment will be closed.
When will I be paid?
I have a 30 day money back guarantee for Passion to Paid, so you'll be paid on the next available pay out date. That means you'll be paid 30 days after the end of the month of purchase. For example, if a sale occurs anytime in the month of October, you’ll be paid in early December. That covers you and me for any chargebacks. With the payment plans there is generally a finance charge [which affiliates do not receive a commission on]. Please note that payouts do not start until after the finance charge has been covered.
Payments are made to your PayPal account, which you provide when joining the affiliate program on Teachable.
Can you still pay me if someone forgets to use my link?
No, please (pretty please) don’t ask me to do this because there are simply too many transactions for me to individually manage. The link must be used to be eligible for commissions. To avoid this, you should direct people to click on your unique link during your promotions.
When someone clicks on your unique link, a cookie is added to their browser that let's Teachable know where the referral came from. The cookie will stay on their browser for the duration of the entire week UNLESS the person clicks on another affiliate's link after yours and decides to purchase the course. The sale will be attributed to the most recent referral link used before purchase. To learn more about how this works, read Teachable's resource here.
Good examples directing people to your link: "Click the link in my profile to learn more!" or "Click the link below to get started."
Bad examples not pointing to your link: "Go to passiontopaid.com to learn more" or "Check out the class on Lauren's Instagram account"
What marketing can I do?
I'd suggest that you market through your social media channels and to your own email list (if you have one). You can also publish a case study or blog post on your website that talks about your passion project and/or the benefits of starting a passion project.
How often do I need to post?
You can post as much or as little as you'd like - the choice is completely up to you. It could be as much as using your affiliate link in your Instagram profile and posting every other day, or it can be as little as sending an email to a few close friends who are looking to boost their creative career. Do whatever feels good & natural to you!
What about customer non-payments?
If someone is in payment default, you'll get paid when/if I do, unless it goes into collections. I do everything I can to collect outstanding payments, but after a while it costs me too much to pay out full commission on collected outstanding payments.
