Hey HOMwork friends, happy Friday!
(If this is your first time joining us, take a peek at our Challenge Archive for all previous assignments.)
This week, we have the fantastic Jin Kim as a guest teacher!
Jin is a designer, illustrator, and lettering artist living in Nashville with her husband and wiener dog. She is passionate about creating art that can be felt through thoughtful words, playful textures, and moody colors. Currently, Jin is working as Art Director with the very talented team at ST8MNT. Outside of her day job, she works on freelance gigs, runs her own shop, and pursues personal projects.
Ah, the power of nostalgia. When you think of your childhood you can't help but get carried away by the emotions you had way back when.
Nostalgia is defined as a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.
Without a doubt, our memories create some pretty meaningful experiences that follow us throughout our lives.
In the social media world, we want to connect with others on any (and every) level. So I thought, what better way to connect with others than through our memories of the past and the lives we experienced growing up?
Awww yeah - as a HOMwork subscriber, you get two FREE digital brushes to play with every week, courtesy of DesignCuts.
